JOB SUMMARY / OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant II responsibilities will include but not limited to analysis, reconciliation of general ledger accounts for all entities, recording journal entries, and accounts receivable/accounts payable.  Other responsibilities will include assisting with audits and financial reviews, invoicing and posting payments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

•    Account analysis and reconciliation on all balance sheets accounts for all entities.

•    Reconcile financial ledgers and records; prepare financial statements and reports, general and subsidiary ledgers and supporting schedules; assist with research and resolving discrepancies.

•    Prepare, record, and analytically support monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries

•    Assist with preparation of audits and financial reviews.

•    Process invoices for payment promptly in accordance with the terms established for each vendor or defined on the purchase order.

•    Posts payments and ensure each batch is balanced.

•    Monitor, review and verify accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and adequacy of supporting documentation.

•    Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.

•    Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.

•    Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation of the company.

•    Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.

•    Assists other Departments and other administrative personnel as necessary.

•    Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS

•    None required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR TRAINING

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.

•    Minimum three (3) – five (5) years’ experience working in accounting, or related field required.

SOFTWARE

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

•    Ability to lift 20 lbs. occasionally.

•    Ability to sit for prolonged amounts of time required.

•    Ability to effectively communicate through various means required.

ENVIRONMENTAL

•    Majority of work is performed within an office environment, including office equipment – such as computers, telephones, and copiers.

•    Requires passing by industrial equipment on way to office.

•    Noise levels are typically moderate.

WORK SCHEDULE

•    Regular 40-hour work week, normal duty hours as assigned.

•    May work longer hours to meet deadlines as necessary.

TRAVEL

•    Less than 10% of the time.
