JOB SUMMARY / OVERVIEW
The position of the Shift Safety Representative for Natgasoline ensures that Emergency
Response is staffed in a manner that provides an initial response to protect the People,
Environment, the Asset, and the Natgasoline Reputation in the event of an emergency.
Additionally, the focus of this position is to provide day-to-day field support, including
permitting, critical lift plans, and daily inspections to execute all aspects of HSSE effectively and
efficiently.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide immediate response to the different types of emergencies at the site, including
fires, gas releases, spills to land and water, rescue and medical calls, etc.
• Response during off-hours may be required
• Assist Operations in day-to-day permitting, lift, and rescue plans.
• Function as Subject Matter Expert for Emergency and Safety Orders, which include
reviewing the procedures, providing interpretations, and may include developing and
delivering Emergency Response training
• Maintain emergency response facilities and all emergency response equipment (Mobile
and Fixed) to ensure equipment is available and ready to respond to emergencies
• Provide Health and Safety Field Services to stakeholders including industrial hygiene
monitoring, turnaround support, Health, and Safety compliance audits, Health and
Safety consulting services, Initial Emergency Response training for all site personnel,
Fire Safety Assessments of Active, Passive fire protection, and Site Emergency
Response Equipment, etc.
• Complete all Fire Extinguisher, Monitor, Hydrants, Manifold, and Self-Contained
Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) inspections
• Perform other related health, safety, and environmental tasks as assigned
• Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS
• Certified National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)-1081, the exterior (or equivalent).
• Must currently hold and maintain a minimum of an EMR issued through the Texas
Department of State Health Services or higher certification.
• Certified as NFPA 472, Hazardous Materials Technician (or equivalent).
• Certified as NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working within the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
is preferred.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR TRAINING
Level 1
• High school diploma required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working in HSE, or a related field required.
• Worked in a Leadership Role within an Industrial Emergency Response Facility
preferred.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
Level 2
• Maintain all Level 1 requirements
• Two-year degree from an accredited college in Safety or Operations related program.
• Ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of Natgasoline process operations and HSSE
policies through competency assessment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of industry standards/practices including NFPA, ANSI, API, and other
standards relating to safety, emergency response, and environmental
response/remediation.
• Working knowledge of firefighting apparatus and foam generation equipment.
• Must have good computer skills and be able to use Microsoft applications.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• General knowledge of local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
impacting the Chemical Manufacturing sector with emphasis on OSHA General Industry
and TCEQ regulatory permitting and compliance assurance processes.

ENVIRONMENTAL
• The majority of work is performed in a field environment. Work at times in extreme weather
conditions
• Requires operation of industrial equipment.
• Noise levels are typically moderate.
WORK SCHEDULE
• Rotating twelve (12) hour shifts including on-call schedule, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• May work longer hours to meet necessary deadlines or support facility emergencies.
TRAVEL
• Less than 10% of the time.
